I wanted a screen support not to add a monitor on it, but to add useful features on it. For now, I added the laptop support and the tablet support for my 16 inches portable screen.

This is my desk. That's where I work on a daily basis. But I'm not the only one using it and it could turn out to be very messy very quickly. However with the solution provided by Balolo I now have areas where everyone can put their documents and other small objects on the desk without being in the middle and I love it. The desk is more spacious than ever, it is not cluttered at all, it feels good to sit on this desk into work. I love it. The cat seems to love the pad and that's a problem though I need to figure out a way to keep her out of it.

Shipping was exactly as announced. When I received my order, the local mailing company had actually put tape around the package saying “We’re sorry, your item was damaged.” I was worried, but I didn’t need to be—everything inside was packaged so well. The big outer box had every item separated in its own sturdy box, and everything inside was carefully wrapped in paper. No plastic used at all, just quality materials and boxes I can actually reuse for storage.

Assembly was straightforward—remarkable, considering I have two left hands and can’t read or comprehend most manuals. I usually can’t even manage Ikea furniture. But this? I was able to put it together easily. The mounting grid is brilliant in its simplicity, and every necessary item was included. For once, when a manufacturer says you only need the included screws and an allen wrench, it’s actually true.

The modularity is genius. You can start with just the cockpit riser (the essential, pricier part) and add on whatever you need later. It’s so easy to move parts around, and every detail is both functional and beautiful—even the extra leg for carrying weight has a cable cutout. The add-ons are metal, so you can attach cables with magnets and keep everything hidden from view. I’ve already added the magsafe holder and cable organisers, and moved the tray to where I want it. You can always get more—it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

The setup doesn’t take space; it gives space. It brings a sense of calm and boosts productivity—my ADHD brain is genuinely happy. I put off buying this for a long time because of the price, but I was wrong: it’s absolutely worth it. If you buy one thing for your desk this year, make it this. Nothing feels cluttered, everything is accessible, and the Balolo team is always reachable. I especially love the cable magnets and organisers; I hate seeing cables, and this is the first setup that truly hides them all.

It fits perfectly with my Ikea Mittzon desk. The quality of the materials is real and authentic—this isn’t mass-produced, you can tell it’s made with care and passion by people who use the product themselves. Everything is simple, modular, and just makes sense. Desk needs change over time, sometimes even over a single workday. For example, I don’t always need the laptop riser—so I screw it in when I do, and take it off when I don’t. You don’t need to flip anything over to do this either, it’s all accessible in place.

The only small note is that the cable magnets (and to a lesser extent the organisers) are mainly aimed at thinner cables, like charging cords. An HDMI or monitor power cable is too thick for the current magnets. Hopefully there’ll be more sizes in the future. But overall, it really feels like personalised craftsmanship—almost as if Balolo read my mind and made exactly what I was wishing for.
